How do I log a custom dish? (iOS)

Adding your own recipes or dishes to the Noom app is easy! All you need to do is use the Custom dish feature on iOS.

To enter your own meals onto the app, please do the following:

  1. In your list of tasks for the day, tap Log your meals
  2. Select the meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack)
  3. Tap My Dishes
  4. Tap Create a new dish
  5. Enter the name of your dish
  6. Tap Ingredients
  7. Search and enter all of your ingredients
  8. Tap Done at the top right corner
  9. On the next screen, you’ll see a list of all the ingredients you entered, along with their amounts. If you miss an ingredient, you can tap Add more items in the bottom left corner.
  10. Once all your info has been entered correctly, tap Done in the bottom right corner.
  11. Tap Portions prepared and slide your finger left or right across the blue slider bar to select how many portions or servings you made. Tap servings, bowls, or plates above the blue slide bar to toggle between the portion or serving size options.
  12. Tap Servings eaten and slide your finger left or right across the slider bar to enter how many servings were eaten. Tap Log x (where x is the quantity) to confirm how many servings you ate.
  13. The last screen will show the name of the dish along with the number of servings and calories.
  14. Tap Done in the top right corner to save the dish to your food database.

*If you don’t tap Done on the final screen, your dish won’t be saved and you’ll have to enter everything all over again.

You only have to do this once for each recipe or meal you’d like to record. Once you’ve added it to your custom dish section, you’ll be able to easily log it by tapping its name.

Note: These instructions are only for iOS users. This feature isn’t available for Android.
